I enjoy creating encaustic art because of its many application. With encaustic medium, which I make by mixing beeswax, pigment, and damar tree resin, I create three-dimensional works, detailed pictures, and abstract pieces. My work is frequently composed on reclaimed wood and is often highly textured. Encaustic art allows me to express my creativity and to encourage flexibility in my imagination.
